2017
Medewi : nice pointbreak, easy specially for long boards
Canggu : right and left on a reef.
Kuta Beach : few kilometers of sand and coconut trees, it’s a bay lined with different beachbrakes. Further north Legian, little bit less crowded, but still very busy. Beware the local kids practicing.
Kuta Reef and Airport Reefs : you get to thes spots rowing (10 min) or with canoé from Kuta beach. Nice lefts and rights with some coral reefs. Quite a lot of people on season. You will surf under the planes taking off and landing nearby.
Balangan : medium size, really nice with big swell.
Dreamland : well named. White sand, coconut trees. Nice waves breaking into deep water.
Bingin : solid left. Very deep tubes. Difficult take off, in shallow water.
Impossibles : not easy, very rapid, only for good surfers. Not very busy there…
Padang-padang : very closed to Uluwatu, rights and lefts. Lot of people and lots of tubes !
Uluwatu : at the bottom of the cliffs, it’s a gorgeous and mythical place. Access to the water is by a cave and his staircase. Really radical left.
3 sections :
just in front of the cave with medium swell (inside corner)
with bigger swell and half tide (race track)
with really big waves, start far from the seaside. When conditions are good, lot of people but lot of place too.
Nyang Nyang – Green Balls : south of Uluwatu. Nice waves but busy.
Nusa Dua : on the east side of the peninsula. Nice right during rainy season from december to march.
Geger Beach : rather phenomenal. With big swell, you hardly see the horizon line. Safer to get there with a jukung (local boat)
Sri Lanka: nice right near the « club med » better with big swell during wet season.
Saucer: next to Grand Hyatt – nice right-
Sanur Reef and Tanjungs, Padang Galak, Ketewel, Lebih : all nice spots during rainy season. Situated on the east side, closed to the big resorts, in the area of Sanur.
Nusa Lembongan : small island east side of Bali. 2 easy spots named Playgrounds and Shipwreck with agreable rights. A third one called Lacerations more tricky, rapid. Quite busy during the season. You get there by ferry.
At the Yoga Shala Canggu, villa serenity, 5 minutes from the resort, and 100 m from the sea side. Zen place, zen people, and well being. You should find what you are looking for.
Yoga lessons take place every morning from 9 to 10 am. Different types of yoga, even for beginners.

In Bali, you can dive on sites more exceptional one than the other: a wreck from the second world war (Tulamben), another wooden one, a vertical drop, white sand dunes (Menjangan), at the foot of large cliffs,currents called “washing machines” (The Gilli’s opposite Padang Bay). But you can also choose quiet bays, incredible coral gardens (Blue Lagoon) or carrying currents.
You will have many chances to bump into Pelagic fishes, and who knows, maybe one of the species most appreciated by dive lovers: the Mola-Mola or Sunfish. Drift dives will give you the opportunity to observe manta rays.
