BALI or “The Asian pearl” is an Indonesian island located between Java and Lombok islands. BALI is known for its landscapes, its pleasant climate, the originality of its culture and the kindness of its people. The island is the main Indonesian touristic destination. If you come to Bali for its beaches and its sun, you come back here for its intense cultural life and its beautiful landscapes, especially its temples and its rice fields. The handcraft lovers will be seduced by the Balinese productions of any quality : wood, stone, concrete, shells, silver, textile (including the batik, which is however not Balinese but Javanese). It’s our turn to charm you and to make you discover the real soul of Bali, the one you cannot find into guides or forums, the one you breathe and feel when you take the time to observe the real heart of Bali. They should be light at your arrival and, believe me, they will be heavy at your departure, so much tentation is big! In Bali, there is no dress-code. No need to worry about how to dress up: 3 tee-shirts, 2 shorts, 1 swimsuit, 1 jean, 1 sweat and a windcheater, that’s all you need! For temples visits, you will need a sarong, kind of paréo. A short trouser is pleasurable in the evening. It reduces the mosquitos’ landing surface! The temperature during summer in Bali decreases for 22-24°C by night, above the island. A little cardigan is useful for those who ascend the Mount Batur in the early morning (at 04:00AM) and it will be useful too in the plane. 30% of our guests arrive with a sore throat because of the plane’s air conditioning. For the foot: actually, the best shoe is… sandal. But NECESSARILY a sandal hold by a thong on the heel’s back. All sport brands sell it. It usefully replaces tennis shoes and maintain foot ventilated. A little practical tip: choose washable sandal because rice fields are muddy and tennis shoes which impregnate water are less appropriate. For accessories: a shoulder bag or backpack for each to transport the bottle of water (of preference bring your flasks in order to avoid adding some plastic on the island), a sarong and photographic material. You will need also sunglasses with high protection. And prefer the pareo to the beach towel which is more heavy and long to dry. All the staff wish you a pleasant stay!
